Learn to Sail!

This three-day on-the-water and classroom course is designed for beginners and intermediates interested in getting into or improving sailing techniques.

  • Objectives – fun, safety, meet people just like you
  • Beginners – learn to sail
  • Intermediate – sail better, with more confidence
  • You will be able to rent a boat as part of our boat rental program.

We will have three classes of boats on which students can learn:

  • Monohull – Flying Scots,
  • Cabin boats – San Juan 21s
  • Catamarans – Hobie 18s.

This has always been a very well attended class and will fill quickly, so talk it up, act FAST and get in!

Registration includes:

Where to Stay?

  • Students can tent camp on our grounds
  • Students can tent or motorhome camp outside our club in the state park campground
  • Hotels in Carlyle are a 10 minute drive and quite inexpensive
  • Drive back and forth: St. Louis is a 1 hour drive
